The attractiveness of this album is that it has galla section - we could listen 11 famous singers' voices
such as Tebaldi, Del Monaco, Björling and Sutherland.

Rarely played collection of Operatic Arias, and traditional Neopolitan songs from now-deceased celebrity tenor.
I tend to steer away from "Best of" Operatic material, but it has to be said that when the voice is as charismatic, expressive, and downright powerful as LP's, it's hard not to be simply swept along by the gloriousness of it all...

The tracks are classics (from Madama Butterfly, The Magic Flute, Nabucco, Carmen) but he utilizes electronics and other instruments to add new textures to these old world pieces. In the first Aria Rebecca Luker sings on most of the album. She has a great voice. Paul Schwartz has also done 2 albums called"State of Grace" and "State of Grace II: Turning To Peace" which are good, but I don't like them quite as much as the "Aria" series.

PAUL McCARTNEY "liverpool oratario" ,cd.
not really fan of classical or opera, this, Macca's "standing stone" and a couple of others are all i have.
this is the one i listen to when i want to hear some of this genre, a semi-autobiographical piece of growing up in Liverpool.
i know nothing of opera/classical so i dont know if this one is 'rated' by experts....but i like it
rating 6/10 or 1.8 on Music Head's scale

Garden i-Pod listening.
Albinoni was by no means a prominent composer, but this collection of his complete Oboe Concertos is an absolute delight.
Played by a chamber orchestra for whom historical accuracy & period instruments are the thing. I usually find this sort of stuff is worth a listen.
Lovely, lovely music, and a purity of sound that's completely beguiling.
AllMusic don't score orchestral releases...

I have a lot of these Haydn String Quartet discs, and don't listen to them often enough.
Naxos, the label, specialise in producing budget Classical recordings from lesser known performers (often from Eastern Europe), and eschew the big budget process of heavily edited recordings.
This works more often than not, and this is a lovely album.
AllMusic don't score orchestral releases...
