What Are You Listening To? - smottie - 29-02-2008 Just the other day, on a bus I listened to Léo Delibes - Flower duet from Lakmé. I heard it through my earphones and I just got carried away. Overviewing the diversified sunlight over the altering landscape and listening to that tune in that bus was like god (or someone) had created a marvellous soundtrack to my entire day... life. Realizing I was alone in that experience was... uh, made me a bit sad and yet... Happy! There's something very special with those two voices: Mady Mesplé and Danielle Millet and an orchestration by Alain Lombard. I think it was recorded in 1971. Anyway: It's like heaven through my earphones on a bus in February. |
