What Are You Listening To?
Jerome Wrote:Bowie - Station to Station - very experimental in parts. Favourite track has to be Wild is the Wind.

yeh too experimental for me, I dislike that album but love the single "golden years" and of course, "wild is the wind"

Sting – The Soul Cages. I know he gets short shrift around here, mostly, but I like this album – it feels sincere, and there are some very appealing tracks on it; this funny little almost café style instrumental is one of them – “St Agnes and the Burning Train” – gotta love the crackles when the stylus first meets the record in this clip … such an unmistakeable sound! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75wEujLgkpg – and then there’s “Mad About You” …

Ruby, you must listen to 'Nothing Like The Sun' - fantastic album. I am busy listening to Joni Mitchell's 'Turbulent Indigo' - not her most famous work but definitely my favourite of hers. Love this album.

ELTON JOHN "madman across the water" cd, 1971

revisiting this old classic...
Elton's sixth studio album...
cant believe this album only reached #41 in his homeland and the singles failed
to chart there also...stupid Brits!
although he made some very good albums without Bernie Taupin present I do believe
his best work was when they worked together...
