Personally, I didn't like her voice or style all that much. For one thing, I think it's annoying when singers make random and/or unusual changes to vowel sounds. I am glad people enjoyed and respected her as a musician because I do think he she had a love of music, was unique, and respected established song repertoire. RIP sweet, troubled girl.

No denying she was talented but she took the whole rock n roll thing too far. One clue that she was on the way out was when she started covering herself in really tacky tattoos - a sure sign that she had stopped looking after herself. Booze, pills, dope and fame are a lethal cocktail. Still, a loss to the music world and I can only imagine what she might have achieved had she lived. RIP.

"back to black" is, IMO, one o the finest albums ever made, superb is an understatement for it!
that said, her debut "frank" was terrible IMO,
I think I posted it somewhere previously, that if I bought Frank first, I probably wouldn't have gone back for seconds...

I would have loved to hear Amy duet with Adele, that would have been something special.

but after all is said and done she was her own worst enemy, her parents tried and tried to get her into rehab for her addictions but she wouldn't go,
and if she did go, she never stuck to the program her cravings for coke etc were too strong(along with the other things you mentioned J-Man)
