Today's earworm: bloody Pet Shop Boys Confusedmile:

^You think that’s bad? I have to ‘fess up to this which I was surprised to find playing in my head on waking this morning. Geez! Oh well – nothing for it but to pass it on – lol!!

"The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us." ~ Bill Watterson
Lest I be misunderstood, I do like the PSB song quite a bit. ABBA were OK too, though I don't think "SOS" is one of their best.
I'm not hiding, that I play bass in this band, but same time this song is hunting me all the time - Dead Furies "Listen To T Rex".
It's got a video too

Here's my current obsession, I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.
Leonard Cohen - So Long, Maryanne

due to having heard it on the radio today.

A much better song than Hallelujah, I think.
I agree,
Much better than Hallelujah...
That said, there's nothing wrong with Hallelujah....
I'm a recent convert to Cohen, having one compilation and three studio albums...

Lets so what our Cohen-phile MH has got to say about LC...

BTW, I think Jeff Buckley did the best version of Hallelujah, closely followed by KD Lang.

Back to original posted comments...
Most people only know LC for Hallelujah, same as most people know NY for only Harvest...
I can think of maybe seven or eight albums by NY I prefer over Harvest and a lot of tracks the
equal to or better than 'heatt of gold' and 'old man'
excellent track there bob
and album also
it's my favorite followed closely by Songs Of Love And Hate
so much emotion he had on those 2
I have all of them and hated the last 2
I saw somewhere where he has a new one on the way
I dread the listen
he needs to dump Linda Robinson
wait maybe he did
but I wander

I just re checked....
I own just two studio albums by Cohen....

"songs of LC" and "songs of love and hate" plus a 2 disc set compilation, loving all three cds..
"songs of love and hate" is my favourite.
now bob's got me singing Robbery, Assault and Battery
