There’s either something terribly wrong with the charts rating systems, or the average IQ is in freefall. Or both.
How does this (and the criminals for that matter) get to rule the airwaves?? Scary.

Maybe I am being a snob here but I agree with your statement about IQ being in freefall. Are people really content to listen to this junk? I can understand kids being taken in by it, but adults? I hear less and less emotional intelligence in music these days. It all seems to be about gimmicks these days. Musicianship & truly creative compositions seem to be on the decline. Oh well, there's always the 70's to go back to. At least they made an effort back then. The current crop of popular 'artists' are totally clueless. There are good musicians out there in the current generation but they are being overshadowed by the tattooed, brainless, scantily clad gangsters and bimbos. Hey, maybe that's what the human race is evolving into. And the music industry is only to glad to get behind them. Stupid people are easily manipulated and the moguls are coining it in the process.

^Yep - it's mostly about celebrity and fame as opposed to artistry. Totally fake - manipulation and illusion.
And it can only be perpetuated if people at large buy in, which they do, with little to no discernment. So weird.

^ Unfortunately the majority of the public these days cannot recognize good music ! If you cannot dance to it or singalong, it sucks.
