New Release albums for 2017:
#11
CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Train will be on my list to listen to this week for sure.

They won't be on mine. Their first single some years ago was not bad and a bit different from the run of the mill. but since then they have become very much ROTM I'm afraid.

Tash Sultana must have something going for her (I assume it's a "her"), because her song came in at no. 3 in Triple J's annual listener Hottest 100 poll.

on Train,
I own half their albums, I think the one ones I own are very good,
the ones I didn't bother with, including the last two in a row are run of the mill,
my experience with Train is that their albums are good or bad, im hoping that after two bad ones in a row they may come up
with something better this time, maybe its the Neil Young fan in me hoping for the best???

I will endeavour to listen to the Tash Sultana one also because, well, you just mentioned it.

I hope my mention is not taken as a recommendation. I have no idea what her music sounds like because to my knowledge I have not heard it. I have a nasty suspicion, however, that it may be rap and/or hip hop, based on the kinds of songs that tend to make the upper echelons of the Hottest 100.

When you have had enough of Train, try Big Big Train, they are much better than Train. Size is important, you see.

"new releases" in the UK for week commencing 16th February:

This week's #NewMusicFriday single releases is lead by Take That's brand new track Giants. The song heads up their eighth studio album Wonderland, which follows on March 27. Could it be the group's 28th Top 40 on next week's Official Chart? Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran releases another song ahead of his upcoming album ÷, called How Would You Feel (Paean), Swedish electronic dance duo Galantis release their fifth single Rich Boy, and Pitbull has teamed up with Stephen Marley on Options, the new single from his forthcoming album Climate Change.
On the albums front, Amy Macdonald releases her fourth album and first in five years, called Under Stars, and Future puts out his new collection Nobody Safe. Both albums face stiff competition from this year's BRIT Awards, which takes place on February 22 and often sees performers or winning acts surge back up the Official Chart.
