Listening to ABBA today and particularly noticing the super laidback bass, courtesy of Rutger Gunnarsson (mostly), one of a handful of regular additional musicians who played on their albums. Gunnarson, now deceased, might have been on all of them, if I’m not mistaken, although a second bassist, Mike Watson also featured on a few. I also read somewhere that there was never any sheet music at the recording sessions, other than for the string section.

Some of those grooves … shewy – they had such a good formula going … can't believe how many of these lyrics I know, lol!

"One of Us" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIKAe8Wi0S0

"Knowing Me, Knowing You" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUrzicaiRLU

"Money, Money, Money" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETxmCCsMoD0

"Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" (Mike Watson on this one) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa2j0Bh83ms

Possibly my favourite ABBA song ...

SAVAGE GARDEN "savage garden" cd, 1997.

Aussie pop duo
debut album of two.
both superb in terms of craftsmanship.
15 million worldwide sales and rightfully so IMO.
loving just about everything on here.
shame vocalist Darren Hayes solo career wasnt as successful, i do own three of his four solo albums but
they tended to be more dance orientated than these examples of pop perfection.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

could pick just about anything off here to post but heres one of the beautiful love songs:

random pick album four of eight.
her first complete departure from county/ballads/acoustic material.
all of her albums rate high for me either hitting the love rating or just on the cusp of loving.
loving at least half this album
favorite was the fourth single from it, could not recall it being released as a single though
