Nomination: Frank Sinatra - Music Head - 16-02-2012 My first nomination will be for the man who made popular music popular. Born, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey. Died, 1998 from a heart attack at the age of 82. Making his start with the big bands of Harry James and Tommy Dorsey, it wasn't long before Frank had made his way on his own. Still another change in the founding of the Reprise label in 1961. Retired from the business in 1971, only to come back in 1980 with probably his most well known recording of New York, New York.
