mile: "I was raised on Country Sunshine" I love country music! Not the new pop country. I love the oldies like Hank & Jr., Waylon, Willie, Loretta, Tammy, Ronnie, and Dottie West. Well, y'all get the picture. I also love Gospel. My favorite gospel group is the Gaither Vocal Band who I will see in Oct. My favorite tenor is David Phelps who is part of the Vocal Band. I also like the Bee Gees, the Eagles, and other pop groups. I'm a singer too. Been singing ever since I can remember. Music is a huge part of my life. I like songs that touch my heart. I'm from North Carolina on the coast and love it here. Looking forward getting to know you and having great conversations mile:

North Carolina...Music Head and I drove through that part of the world a couple of years ago...looks lovely down that way....but its hard to go past Virginia/West Virginia for beautiful scenery IMO!

BTW Crazy-Horse, One of the very best DVDs of the Gaither Vocal Band is when they were in concert in Australia. David Phelps was wonderful there!! Great songs and performances!! Two of my other fave gospel groups are The Hoppers and gospel bluegrass The Isaacs. Dottie Rambo was a great songwriter too. Saw her yrs. ago when Reba was just a kid

Bill & Gloria Gaither have written some of the most famous gospel songs in history such as He Touched Me. I have been listening to them and their groups for years off and on but when David Phelps joined the group I was amazed. I could not believe what I had been missing. He came along when I was not listening. I was shocked that I had not heard of him when I first noticed him. I've been hooked ever since. David Phelps is the best singer Bill Gaither ever hired!!...Also if you like comedy check out Mark Lowry. He is a member of the GVB too but is the comedian of the group. He has alot of funny videos on youtube....Enjoy!!

mile: No, I have never heard of those artists but I will check them out. I've seen the Gaithers several times. Enjoyed them everytime. It last two days in Myrtle Beach at the convention center. I'll be sure to give a report. My sister likes the Avett Brothers but I'm not too familiar with them. I did see them once on TV. Thought they were very good!!
