Since this album seems to be on all the trade site's 2014 Top 5, thought I would finally listen to it! I had it on my radar list but as usual like hundreds of other albums it got overlooked.

Walk off the Earth is a previously indie band, who, after six years of paying their dues, signed with Columbia in 2012 (they had got themselves a gazillion youtube views of their five-people-on-one-guitar cover of âSomebody That I Used to Knowâ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGIiYejABSQ.)
What sets this pretty amazing, young, contemporary band apart, IMHO, is authenticity; they ALL actually play real live instruments (in multiples!) and all can sing; and with the exception of that one cover <<, the material on R.E.V.O was written by them - well done too. Upbeat, fun pop/rock with alternative leanings - this is âSpeechesâ â

A somewhat unknown jazz band leader ...Chuck Israels...really nice jazz with an excerpt of Waltz for Debby, one of pianist Bill Evans' most popular compositions!
