not sure ive ever posted anything by this band previously?
UK ska group
debut album of nine. i own two, maybe three
not really the most lyrically intelligent group but lets face it, ska was all about rhythm and dance
enjoyable as i hadnt heard it in must be a couple of decades from memory
also enjoyable finding clips with vocalist Buster Bloodvessel dancing his silly ska dance
album scored 1.8 which means

her eighth of nine, i only own this one
a $2 discount bin buy during the covid lockdowns
pop album but known as a 'singer/songwriter'
album starts off good but falls away as it all sounds the same after a while
i guess 1.7 is a fair score for this album overall which means

forget the chimp on the cover and replace it with chump...
purely pop, very little sounds alternative or edgy.
band probably went two albums past their use by date for me
nothing to really dislike, just a band playing it relatively safe and commercial

six albums in catalogue, i own the first two, this is the second one
a pretty good pop/soft rock album
nothing on here in the same league as her huge hit "torn" from the debut
still fairly decent and i really like her vocals

fourth album of ten, i own the first four
first three were folk/singer-songwriter type stuff
this one is more pop radio friendly
although theres nothing really wrong with the songs i prefer his early sounds

lets get rid of guitars, and riffs and load it with synths and drum machines, WTF!
i have tried to like this album for 44 years, i guess i never will
only two songs worth it for me, the tribute to John Lennon and the duet with Bowie

their fifteenth of twenty-two, i guess Lynne has the majority of them
this is pop-soul-disco in just about its finest 40 minutes IMO
note to Queen's post above for "hot space", this is disco/dance Freddie!
excellent album which scores 2.5 from meaning...

UK indi-pop
debut album of four, only one i own
picked this up yesterday at a thrift store
had never heard them previously as far as i was aware so all new to me
that said, i watch a lot of Youtube commentators and a lot of the UK'ers praise the band so i thought for $2 it might be worth it
so yep, "indi-pop"
female vocalist who sounds like one of those 'power-pop' singers like Florence at times
listened to this twice in the car since i purchased at it is a decent album

album starts off with a couple of doof-doof type tracks
thankfully it settles down in to what a Sia album should sound like
aside from those two or three early glitches this is a good album

her fifth of ten, i own nine
never know where i should put her, alternative or pop
both seem apt, songs are generally pop but her videos are generally 'out there' to a couple of degrees
solid album here,
vocally very much like Lady Gaga in places and a distinct soul/R+B flavour in others
not sure if its my favourite but its certainly up there with her best
album scores 2.4 which means
