it barely scrapes into the like range,thought they were overrated, but its hard to dismiss tracks like "the wanderer" and "runaround sue" which are genuine early rock classics!
you have generalised the words i wrote Jazzy....
"the wanderer" and "runaround sue" were genuine "early rock classics" and regarded as such my music historians....
i never criticised "doo-wop" in any way shape or form...all i wrote was i thought as artists Dion & The Belmonts were overrated and not the "genre".

believe it or not Wiki says Depeche Mode have sold inexcess of 100million albums in their thirty plus year career...
i have two albums of theirs on cd "violator" and "some great reward", i also have their first four albums on cassette from back in the day and probably fifteen of their singles on old 7" vinyl....
both of the ones i own on cd have been previously posted on MD,linked below
