Found another couple with some similarities with First Aid Kit. Siblings, nationality, genre and IMO harmonizing voices...

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:not one of my favourites by NY, but a lot better than the crap he's released in the last 20 yrs!

are you posting the NY albums in release order that you have or randomly?
and...
if they are in release order why is there a huge gap between the last two you posted?
(im assuming you picked them up in a discount bin because youd surely have everything else inbetween those two on vinyl, right?)

will also be interest in your thoughts on "prairie wind" this time round because from memory you loved it on your first listen five years ago.
release order on the cd's
only have 11
not sure which ones I picked up from a discount bin
pretty sure those first 2 I posted were

I have all albums in between those 2 on vinyl
except maybe that pink thing
it doesn't look familiar

The Shocking Pinks album?,
had a 1950s rockabilly, doo wop thing happening through it, I like it.
but it doesn't sound like Neil, like much of the stuff he did in the early to mid 80s.

Trent Tomlinson
Don't like it. He went backwards on this one.

Fantastic album from Uncle Neil - a return to form for me. Title track is great.

What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 08-01-2017

I was going to mention the title track...both that and the one MH posted are two of the most beautiful love songs ever written IMO

love the opening lines from Unknown Legend:

she used to work in a diner,
I never saw a woman look finer,
I used to order just to watch her float across the floor...

and Jerome,
if you haven't already seen it/own it, I suggest you get his "heart of gold" dvd...
recorded at Ryman Theatre-Nashville,1992,
Neil and band perform the whole Harvest Moon album plus a lot of other folky/country classics...comes a time, four strong winds, heart of gold etc...
superbly recorded and filmed IMO
