I think music is mostly positive...well, for me anyway. I experience different emotions when I listen to music, but I usually feel better afterwards. It can lift me up when I'm sad, I cry when a song resonates with my pain, it's cathartic when I'm upset and angry, and it gives me a sense of being understood.
At the end of the day, music is personal.

I agree on what they all said. It depends on what type of music are you listening too. Example, here in Panama we let our kids listen to musicals and nursery rhymes for them to learn more. That is positive. But if you let your kids listen to a song that has foul language or inappropriate lyrics then it will be negative. - Gustavo Woltmann

I think mostly positive. Even sad music helps often to go through hard times of the life. Music, painting, cinema etc. makes people better. Our job only separate true art from trash.
