Lyle Mays - keyboardist and musician extraordinaire. He passed away on the 10th of February after complications from a recurring illness - he was 66. Closely affiliated with Pat Metheny - a very sad loss. R.I.P.  Sad

recorded over fifty studio albums and received over a dozen Grammy nominations over the decades.
found international prominence/success in the mid 1980s by playing on Paul Simon's Graceland album and subsequent tour with him


well respected musician and humanitarian

im pretty sure I had a discussion with Jerome about Mazzy Star on more than one occasion.
cant remember if he was a fan of the band or just the Among My Swan album that I posted a while ago.

first played with Willie (that reads so wrong LOL) in 1955
became his permanent drummer in 1966 and never left.

I just asked because he really blurred the line between pop and country for me a lot of the time anyway...
