I suppose if you molest children and you are an adult you should be charged accordingly but I think in his head he was still only a child himself. He never really grew up. People made him out to be this superstar but he was really a totally insecure spoilt child who did not have a clue about the real world. He life was a complete fantasy.

I think you are right Jerome......................what he did was wrong without a doubt but I feel that on that front he had the mentality of a child. Thus he was guilty and any parent would not want their children near him.............he was not fully conscious of what he had really done or come close to doing.

and Jerome you are quite correct in your comments re:MJ...but i feel he never had a normal childhood anyway, thrust into the limelight when he could walk,basically, so never got the chance to mature into an adult,thus never knowing what is right or wrong...i feel he thought he was just genuinely being a "loving" person and didnt know any better!

Oh no I've not been booed away . I stand by my opinion on Mandona's version of American Pie and proud of it . Interesting about Elvis . Must print a copy of that off . Wonder if we will ever get anybody claiming to be Elvis or has it happened ? Would not surprise me if it has . I know in the past people years after have claimed to be famous gangsters . Billy The Kid / Butch Cassidy being two of them . As to why I have not been on for a while is that I have been involved in other things . Writing and modeling projects mainly . Mind you though , as time passed by , to me things did seem to go a bit quiet on here which was a pitty . Originally when I first joined much action seemed to be taking place . Was more fun that Facebook .

It is interesting to me because Elvis is a genius musician. Sure he was not the most exciting but he made music. But the ones who really want to devalue him are Lady Gaga fanatics. Just recently, I had several argument with Gaga fanatics who insulted Elvis for not being shocking enough and being too much into "Black" music. I told them, "SO WHAT. Elvis liked that music." The ones who really can't stand Elvis (I mean hate his guts) are Gaga fanatics. They are the ones who want to believe that Elvis is just another musician and that one day that Lady Gaga will be the greatest American artist ever. That won't happen because Elvis made something unique while Gaga is just wanting money. Another difference: Elvis made the music for our souls while Gaga is only making music solely based on money.

I agree CLYS! Ummm, being into "Black Music" and making it available to a broader audience was the whole idea behind Elvis. He was the person who tore down the musical colour barrier, and was a great performer! Kinda like when some United Statesians refer to Bill Clinton as the first Black President. Gaga is, IMHO, a Madonna clone.
