Seriously though, you need to develop callouses on your fingertips to play guitar properly and piano requires a different muscular requirement from your hands/wrists. Check out Arthur Rubenstein (classical pianist), who had incredible power in his hands. A lot of it is in the mind. A lot of people don't realise the amount of physical effort it requires to coax the right sound out of an instrument.
