Even if you'd been mistaken, you can console yourself with the knowledge that Morrissey got the New York Dolls back together in '04.

Music Heads "M" cd's - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-09-2014

congrats Ruby...another 'alphabet letter' win to you.

i was never a big fan of Morrissey myself
always thought his music was the forerunner for "emo",very deppressing and depressive...
always thought The Smiths were overrated also, but did make some good songs along the way....

i guess Smiths were always on a hiding to nothing as when they emerged the UK music press touted them as being "the next Jam", "the band to assume the mantle of The Jam",
for those who dont know,The Jam, had split in 1982,The Smiths came along in 1983...
The Jam were,at the time, the biggest UK band in the UK since Beatles and they split at their peak.

so The Smiths could never live up to the hype and expectations that the media thrust upon them...

over the years i have, like many others, grown to appreciate the writing and playing talents of Johnny Marr, and his often off beat collaborations with other artists make him the Jack White of the UK music scene...

enough said...
but im surprised Music Head has five Morrissey albums.
