Oceansoul Wrote:I'm listening to an album called "Archangel" by Two Steps from Hell with Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix.

It makes me feel good for some reason and it feels grand, quite enjoyable. The instrumentation is pretty good. Mmm, I need more stuff like this in my music collection. Who knew I would enjoy epic enriched music like this? I didn't, ahh.
not that anyone here prompted your exposure to this band
but we would like to think that your presence on this forum
encouraged you to step out of your comfort zone
explore, be wild, go crazy, have fun

A poster here did mention music like this and I decided to dive into it more and explore. Definitely like that I found something new that I didn't think would be my thing, but some of it is.

My brother also told me about a band within the vein of this kind of music too.

From David Crosby and Graham Nash’s Whistling Down the Wire. A not very lauded album which, in my opinion, ought to be; there are some fabulous songs on this - those harmonies were truly something else – and their backing band was impressive too - The Mighty Jitters, comprising Craig Doerge, Tim Drummond alternating with Lee Sklar, Danny Kortchmar, Russ Kunkel, and David Lindley (whose contribution is, as always, notable!). A worthy follow up to Wind on the Water, I think.

Two tracks here because the uploader put them together and I like them both …

The Track I'm Listening To Is....................... - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-10-2016

superb video for this next track with Bowie revealing in imagery what was happening from:
1: laying on his deathbed
2: death creeping around under his bed like a vulture waiting to take him
3: coming out of the closet one more time
4: an urgency to get out on paper what he needs to prior to death
5: floating off the deathbed as people and looking down on himself
6: the other Bowie in black re-entering the closet/coffin
to name a few images:

probably the greatest yet saddest video ever made IMO

So sad! This video brought tears to my eyes. Superb indeed.

the actual makers of the video, obviously under the direction of Bowie did their job perfectly if it evoked the emotion it did Ocean...

and that is what IMO, real music videos should be, none of those skanky half dressed women shaking their booty and letting it all hang out in order to
attract the teenage testosterone generation, but something intelligent and thought provoking, and David Bowie excelled at it right up to his death,
and probably after his death also, a unique, one of a kind individual who reinvented his persona even in the throngs of death.
love him or hate him, there'll never be another David Bowie (or Bob Dylan for that matter)!
