âThing for Youâ from Free as a Bird which got roundly panned by the critics. I really donât think itâs thaaat bad unless you are expecting Breakfast in America, in which case, wrong country! Lol! Ok â there are a few quirky moments and Supertramp sans Roger Hodgson is a different animal, itâs true, but their musicianship is still beyond reproach â¦

always love the early years of any band

Indelibly Stamped and their debut are the only two I don't have in my collection ... yet.
COTC is a masterpiece - that, Crisis? What Crisis? and that live album are my favs.

I will indeed - a band at their absolute peak. But just watching the DVD you can tell they are tired and exhausted from the tour. Also very fond of 'Brother Where You Bound' & 'Even in the Quietest Moments'.

I think most bands just tap out after 3 or 4 albums
it's just not fresh anymore and I lose interest
of course we all have our exceptions

.....and if they've "made it" by their third or fourth album they really don't need to try anymore because their loyal
fanbase will still buy their material...
latest example for me....Adele,
her first was full of very good ballads, her second, she evolved into more of a solid soul/pop singer with outstanding songs...
her third, well, she could have released just about anything
and it would have sold 20 million on the strength of the first two,
hell, I bought it on the strength of the first two also, wish I didn't, now it will be "once bitten, twice shy"...

"Orient Blue Suite" from Passion, Grace & Fire. I could listen to the first part of this mini suite on repeat all day long. The whole album is brilliant, as are their two other collaborations.
