Hey, guys! Well, thanks. I went looking for that Samplitude X that Jerome told about because i really need one for live instruments.
About the Magnatune site, maaaan, its so useful! Grab some names and study their sounds...
I'd like to know a thing. All artists create their own ''track'' on the sonar or they use the plugins/loops that are offered ??

You don't have to use Samplitude for live instruments. You can use Sonar as well. I just prefer the way Samplitude works, but any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) will do the job.
You can use the plug-ins and loops if you want, but what happens is that everyone starts using them and then everything starts sounding the same - like a lot of movie soundtracks these days (especially action films). Use them to learn but eventually you will probably want to create your own sounds. They are good for the learning process but after that my advice would be to start developing your own sounds from scratch. It takes a lot longer but it is far more rewarding. That's why the most memorable movie soundtracks are the truly original ones.

I don't ever use loops so I cannot really answer that one. A 'loop' is a series of sounds - maybe a whole lot instruments or maybe just one that is repeated over and over (copied and pasted along the track line in the DAW). As for making a loop - I don't know - I've never done it and I never will. As far as plug-ins go, there are thousands to choose from. In order to 'make' a plug-in requires programming skills etc. I would not go down that road unless you are planning to get involved in sound design. Just use the plug-ins available (soft synths, audio processors - like equalizers, reverb, transient modules etc.). By plug-in, I think you are referring to instruments, like drums or synthesizers or keyboards etc. To make one of these requires a lot of work and skill. If you are only starting out I suggest just using the available ones and modifying their sounds to create your own 'patches' - a patch is a type of sound palette that is loaded into a soft synth that you play via a midi keyboard. Arturia probably make the best classic synthesizer emulations but there are many other companies doing this. Soniccouture is also a very good company. Your Sonar package will include some soft synths - like Dimension Pro or the fantastic Z3TA synth. Start with those first and experiment by changing the settings on the front panel. REMINDER: Paul White's book will explain all of this is much more detail. That should be the first thing you buy.

so I can't compare
I can't say I hate this
but I can say I don't like it
let's see, how can I say this
I don't like what you do
but I love the fact that you can do it and enjoy that
this is just too much repetition for me
I realize that most music is repetitive
but the vocals are what distract from that both in sound and lyrically
just me man

No sweat man - I was just teasing you - there was no way that you were ever going to like it. Only for electronic geeks really. Just one side of what I do - I like to dabble in all sorts of things.
