What Did You Buy? - Music Head - 26-10-2011
^^
let us know about this one mate
heard one track that I didn't care for
over-expectation probably
as to the album title Chris Martin was interviewed on VH1
even he couldn't tell us what it meant
some nonsense about, it means everything and nothing
thanks Chris

yeh i didnt like that "waterfall" song when i heard it...maybe it was the video that put me off it...i'll post something about it in the next few days when i get a quiet moment to listen to it fully...
i find that generally though, theie albums dont initially get me, but once they do i am hooked on them
What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-10-2011
ok...my last "big" cd spending spree as a free/ independant man yesterday with Corey....
The Libertines "up the bracket"
Busby Marou "busby marou"....new Aussie group,Corey describes them as similar to Boy and Bear & Mumfords
Avett Brothers "i and love and you"... heard this one at Major Tim's in Florida and just found it
She & Him "volume I" and "volume II"...another one i heard at Major Tim's so i got both albums
Meatloaf "hang cool teddybear"...did a couple of these tracks live last weekend, not a great performance but i saw through that and concentrated on the song quality.
Noel Gallagher's Flying Birds "NGFB"...hey its Noel gallagher, gotta own it
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds "the boatmans call"...my Cave collection is now almost complete
Kelly Clarkson "stronger"...new one from Idol contestant, recommended by MH and Corey...they both cant be wrong!
Florence & The Machine "ceremonials"...latest effort from the artist who brought us the classic "lungs" album last year
Lanie Lane "to the horses"...new artist similar in vein to Imelda May whom i love
John Coltrane "a love supreme"...on the strength of Music Head's album review a few days ago...thanks MH!!!!
Paul McCartney "oceans kingdom"...the latest classical piece from the grestest songwriter in history.

Surprised to see this Classical Music Masterpiece for less than seven bucks at my favorite CD shop !!!!
I hear a lot of rock song melodies by JS Bach....more than 350 years ago !!!...music is music ...it all uses notes or a combination thereof !!!! ..and Glenn Gould the master pianist from Canada !
