this single spent 15wks on top of the UK chart with this cover song(it was originally a Troggs song wasnt it???).
love their version of it...
Scottish band Wet Wet Wet got so sick of it that after a few months of it continually on the radio and tv in the UK that they dropped it from their live set for several years!

Collective lunacy swamped the UK for a year or so as every wet fish Soldier, Soldier duo Robson & Jerome slopped out was belted towards the top of the charts.
the Robson of this duo is Robson Green who incidently has a very successful tv show called "extreme fishing"...
im not sure who the Jerome is, but im pretty sure he is not 'our' Jerome...LOL!
