MARVIN GAYE "sexual healing" b/w "instrumental version" 1982
from memory this was released, and bought by me, just days prior to his senseless murder aged 40...
this is Marvin at his best IMO...great stuff!
hell, i like this song so much that i even like the instrumental version of it also...
single only peaked at #4 here,again, another single that deserved the top spot!

THE STYLE COUNCIL "come to milton keynes" b/w "(when you)call me" 1985
"a" side was only released in the UK, outside of that country,the rest of the world got "boy who cried wolf" as the lead off track...
"b" side is one of the best white boy blue eyed soul songs ever IMO
obviously, this one didnt chart here because it wasnt released!

one of the handful of Madonna "a" sides that i can truly say that i love...
"b" side is pretty good also, dont quote me, but i think from memory that it first released on here 'like a virgin' album

now these guys were 'one hit wonders'!
but who cares?, they released one of the greatest rock songs ever with this "a" side...
shame the "b' side is a load of crap...

"a" side was co-written between vocalist Paul Stanley and balladeer Michael Bolton...
Bolton could have done htis really well IMO...maybe he has recorded it, but i havent heard it?!
"b" side is a Simmons track, im not a fan of Simmons' songs much,so its no surprise i do not like this one

third single from their 'combat rock' album...
"a" side isnt too bad,but its not 'classic' Clash...
"b" side has a more funky feel to it,its not on the album but i love this one!

picked this one up at a second hand stall many years ago...
i wasnt(and still not) a huge fan of the Pips, but i was curious as to how they would sing this one...
love the original,love Elvis' version also...this one is okay,not great...

THE BEATLES "magical mystery tour-ep" 1967
this is the double disc gatefold sleeve version complete with inserted booklet...
single is two discs and contains six tracks from the movie of the same name...
when i got this single the label on record one is on the opposite side to the tracks recorded on it...what i didnt know then, was that this was probably worth a lot of money as this is uncommon, also, the vinyl disc of record one has not been cut out properly, it has a rather ragged edge to it, so that disc obviously didnt go through the machines properly...
this single made it to #3 here back in the day
