RE: MUSICAL DEATHS 2020: - Ruby - 25-07-2020 Crappity crap. Peter Green has died – peacefully in his sleep, which is good, but hell – the greats are nearly all gone and I do not see a rear phalanx waiting to take their place! R.I.P. Mr Green … respect ... RE: MUSICAL DEATHS 2020: - CRAZY-HORSE - 25-07-2020 never a big fan of Fleetwood Mac but i can totally appreciate their place in Rock And Roll and Pete Green as a guitarist. and it seems others were in awe of his talents with the Axe. BB King has been quoted as saying "he had the sweetest tone i have ever heard and the only one who gives me the cold sweats", likewise, another blues legend in Eric Clapton says "the greatest exponent of string bending and vibrato". and when Clapton and BB heap praise on a guitarist that really says it all IMO because those guys dont waste their breath on wannabe's. RIP Mr.Green (and the saddest thing is that you are 100% right Ruby, "he greats are nearly all gone and I do not see a rear phalanx waiting to take their place!")
