Bark Psychosis - Hex

One of Iota's recommendations - Really pretty and ambient - definitely something I wouldn't have ordinarily listened to and I did find it a bit puzzling but definitely good.

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

A recommendation from Droolian. I had been put off by the Bosch-like album cover and the blended-in vocals but it was pretty decent - thanks

Real Estate - Black Lake from Real Estate [Woodsist, 2009]

I just listened to this song five times in a row but not on purpose. I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally had it on repeat. D'oh!

My husband once accidentially listened to an instrumental version of a Rolling Stones for a journey of around an hour - it was only when I got into the car and asked him why he was listening to the same thing over again that he realised and said that he had thought 'it was a bit long'. He's so cute Confusedmile:.

Texas band formed in 1999 with their 3rd album. I liked these hypnotic ballads but must admit after a while it sort of became monotonous. There was nothing bad, it just needed a lacking change of pace, some tempo changes. Excellent harmonies and nice mellow music. I think the monotone voice of the lead vocalist was the down side. So the music made me end up liking this more so than the vocals, and I don't generally like instrumentals so go figure. What I end up with here is that all the songs are somewaht good, but they seem indistinguishable from each other.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - In The Ground

Best Track -Acts Of Man

If all that grows starts to fade, starts to falter
Oh, let me inside, let me inside, not to wait
Let all that run through the fields through the quiet,
Go on with their, own with their own hidden ways

When all newness of gold travels far from
Where it had once been,
Born like the earth over years
And when the acts of man
Cause the ground to break open
Oh, let me inside, let me inside, not to wait

Great are the sounds of all that live
And all that man can hold

If all that grows starts to fade, starts to falter
Oh, let me inside, let me inside, not to wait
Great are the sounds of all that live
And all that man can hold

Great are the sounds of all that live

Debut album from San Diego band that started as The Muslims in 2008. I guess the name didn't go over too good. Not bad alt/pop/punk sound recalling garage bands of the 70's era. Mostly nice clean guitars, bass, drums, some keyboards, no fluff.
