round 4 of the AFL season....
top of the table clash with fellow unbeaten team Sydney(last year's Grand Final runners-up) and my Fremantle team were up by 48pts at half time but managed
to hold their nerve after a spirited fightback by Sydney....we won by 14pts
four matches for four wins, only Fremantle and Port Adelaide remain unbeaten now...
Port Adelaide had a similar scoreline against last year's Grand Final winner Hawthawn.

I am not a fan of boxing - at all. I think it is an insane endeavour - but I was wondering whether you guys had any comments on the latest Vegas bout. You have to admire the hours spent in the gym that these guys put in but I question the sanity of it all. It's not really any different from the days of the Romans & the Colosseum (sp?).

not a fan here either
probably was back around Ali
just insane the money around the game
and people paying $100 just to watch on ppv
but I guess they rake it in
think I heard the winner got around 6 mil

i used to be a fan of boxing, until i read a biography on legendary boxing manager/promoter Don King....
it revealed the corruption in betting, rigging of matches, people 'disappeared' or were found dead if they threatened tospeak out about it etc etc....
i think theyve cleaned the sport up quite a bit since the late 1980s/early 1990s though
i have watched a few of Mayweather's fights though and read a lot about him...
he is probably the greatest boxer since Ali in any weight division and even the greatest 'pound for pound' boxer in history...
what i dont like about boxing is the money side of it....
punters paying thousands for ringside seats....boxers getting paid 20million for bouts that last last several minutes on occasion, worst one for that was Mike Tyson, who often picked up 3o-40million for a fight that lasted less than two rounds on occasion...bloody ridiculous!, and then the guy decladres bankrupt...WTF

Lost interest! Can anyone actually name the world heavyweight champion at the tip of your tongue! There are 5 boxing governences...too much of a mess for my interest!
Sports Talk - Music Head - 04-05-2015
looks like I misunderestimated
Mayweather got 100 mil
plus a take of the ppv handle yet to be tallied
