its not about what music The Beatles played, its the artists before them that influenced them to become musicians in the first place and Lonnie Donegan was at the top of that list along with the early rockers like Gene Vincent,Elvis,Chuck,Little Richard.,Buddy HollyFats Domino..and John's first group The Quarrymen were a "skiffle" group.
Lonnie Donegan was,according to wiki(which you refer to frequently) also a major influence on Brian May...now i never heard Queen sound like "skiffle", but hey, if LD's influence on May's formative years made him pick up guitar, then....he WAS an influence on his career...
musicians "influences" run deeper and go further than the music they end up playing,

i will discontinue the current artist as ALL music books i have except the UK one i used for this alphabet refer to these guys by their full name and not the surname the UK
book does,therefore it may be too confusing for you guys to guess this artist/band.
this artist will now be moved to the letter most people would assume it should be in!
