Smooth Jazz Singer Cheryl Barnes Performing New Single At The Catalina Jazz Club This - jazzboCR - 13-06-2014 You have to be careful with this name--there is a smooth jazz/ urban contemporary singer named Cheryl Barnes; this however is Cheryl D. Barnes and is careful to include the middle initial. This woman looks like she could have been the mother she played in a 1979 Milos Forman film. And let me say this LOUDLY--this Ms. is a full-on jazz singer, complete with scatting--I don't see her walking on the other side of the jazz street (I call that ExLax jazz). Here's a 20-minute audio interview with her: http://theartistandthemusic.timfloresproductions.com/2014/03/27/the-artist-and-the-music-episode-3-cheryl-d-barnes.aspx Not least of her accomplishments is being married to the same man for 25 years (he's the maven on her new recording). What a marvelous find this is--thanks a ton Smooth Jazz Singer Cheryl Barnes Performing New Single At The Catalina Jazz Club This - JamGoodPro - 17-06-2014 This is the stuff I need! Great voice yeah but great all of it! I need to see more.
