This is not the Leonard Cohen I know and love, although with each additional listen, I find something strangely appealing in the contrasts of slick and sultry latin beat and growly poetry. LC's very own unique answer to rap. Please don't shoot me!

I didn't like his last album Old Ideas , however after a few more listens it grew on me and I liked it!!! Same thing happened to me with Joni Mitchell's classic album Blue.

as for Joni's "blue"....i never liked it the first time i heard it after purchasing it and still dont...it does absolutely nothing for me on any level, each to their own i guess.
