Marvelous CBC series, a Private Eye series filmed in Labrador and North America's oldest European city* (hold the Newfie jokes). Good drama with a strong comedic streak (both low comedy and high wit). Best Canadian character actors, good writing/production--now in Season 6: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1297754/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Rewarding in every way.
* St. John's, Newfoundland: Oldest English city in the Americas; the Spanish only founded the over-all 1st European city of Cartago, CR 20 years earlier--like I said, hold the Newfie jokes.

I don't watch any TV directly--this came to me from my public library in an area with a strong Canadian contingency during The Season but both Hulu + and Netflix have good worldwide offerings as well. "Mediocre" just doesn't do it for me, not when better is available with a little searching.
