Looking for a hook to bring Joe Bonamassa... - jazzboCR - 10-02-2015
..And didn't I just find it! One of the best ever multi-genre guitarists, the late Danny Gatton, generously gave up the stage to Joe Bonamassa when he was 12.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLB900atJFs << He opened for B.B.King that same year--go ahead and think of Mr. B as a Blues youngblood at 32 but then look again at his history, Mr. Bonamassa's latest project with which he'll be touring massively *, is "The Three Kings", a celebration of the music of those monsters of the Blues--Freddie King, Albert King and BluesBoy King. AMG Discog: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/joe-bonamassa-mn0000118243/discography << sterling recordings, all of them
He has recorded and toured with Beth Hart frequently but that''s a musical marriage of convenience--they work well together but neither one soul-deep needs the other. Enjoy them together live while you can.
* Doing the Continent and 5 dates in London in the Spring; August is "3 Kings " Month: http://jbonamassa.com/tour-dates/
Some tunes (and this guy stays so busy, it's really hard to choose--always expect and get excellence):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3_GOk36JD0 << He doesn't always play to the stadium--sometimes it's just for himself and his intimes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaCjPdtDBxo << ... What I said << a studio session (greatly massaged).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTG-bCMG05E << it's the voice and playing, not those dumb-a$$ lyrics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69EcnxJmnd4 << Got any Deep Purple fans here? You'll enjoy this treatment...
BONUS: 1-hour concert in 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCqVepdEX0M << He was ON for this one...
