Not punk-slapping any international artist who writes/perform U.S. styles...but we originated--allow me a bit of pride.
Kip Tyler played with and was respected by future Big-Dogs...but never got invited to the big party. "Always the bridesmaid..." Unfortunately shared a name with a prominent '70's porn star.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrlz9W7eEts and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPPSrPveeds

Steve Jordan Despite the name, he's Tejano. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETwHX2u_Dqg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Sm-HnJSC0Y
Kenny Baker Master fiddler--all that needs be said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF8vtEMpdok and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMD95CopUmA
Dave Dudley Best known of the performers presented above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynS7qvcV2ac and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foeFbQAkZbY
My 2 favorite George Jones songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj7ahuCHGbM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WE5pM1HXxlI
