Some friends of mine are trying to find out who these guys are:

We just have the record, but cannot find anything on the internet (searching for the lyrics and using software won't work)
The accent sounds like British midlands, but that's all we have until now.
It is the favorite song of his father, who found it in a compilation he bought from a bankrupting nightclub.
Any insights on how I can start looking for this?

First of all, a bankrupting nightclub would be one that puts others into bankruptcy; perhaps you meant a nightclub that went belly up, that had gone bankrupt?
And now: did you get in touch with the SoundCloud poster, a Portuguese-speaking guy called Megabyte92? Occam's Razor: the simplest answer is usually the correct one. And if you have the record, you have the artist, songwriter, label and #--what more do you need? I'm not believing you can't find out more on the Internet with that.

The uploader is one of my friends and the record was unidentified.
Searching for lyrics on internet isn't of any help. We think this artist was off the record.
