Thanks for the huzzahs. No Bro MH not a competition to me. I have an aim (bringing the best I come across the best way I can) and a challenge (stifling the snarky bits/cheap shots). I'm alright on the first; eternal struggle on the second. I'd sure rather celebrate than denigrate.

Congratulations, jazzbo. You're one of those hard workers that give forums their character. I have never been a prolific poster anywhere and I'm becoming less so!

Praise from you is high praise indeed precisely because of that--your words have especial resonance. Where else can I read you (a response from you can come from a PM, not to be shared.

^ I wrote a list of links in a PM (as my comments on other forums could be seen as a contant attack), but when I clicked 'send' it asked me to sign in again (I had definitely signed in) and then lost my post. It took a while to list the links, so I'll have to do them again later. In short they were Progressive Archives, Progressive Ears, Classic Rock Forums, Talk Classic Rock and Music Banter. My journal at MB is probably best, although it was never finished: http://www.musicbanter.com/members-journal/65439-rabbiting-big-ears-journal.html

All I would say really is just keep doing what you are doing. People who post prolifically in the discussions keep forums active.

Yeah, it makes me spit blood! It says 'remember me' and I am sure it should have remembered me. Usually, I highlight and copy the text just before posting, in case anything goes haywire, but I forgot. I should know better by now. Doesn't this forum have a backup for lost posts (Autosave in a little yellow triangle in the bottom righthand corner)? I've never figured out how it works.
