Surprisingly good music including transpositions, etc. in those isolated pockets we call "home town"
From Michigan we have the OrbitSuns. Their Site: http://orbitsuns.com/

Don't know that it's true here but sometimes you'll find guys who were with Big Whoops bands now just playing locally.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY9t7_ap0dc << I like the heck out of this song--they live there; they know...and it shows
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s6chqHfW4g << No pretense--stripped-down Rock'n'Roll << Why you dug R'n'R in the first place. Visceral.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lshke_Y5QII << Like all significant bands, they're not just one thing << Great fade on this--their producer knew what he was doing--knob twiddler too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebP1lpjOjb4 << A consummation devoutly to be wished...
BONUS: 1/2 hour club appearance. Their own band but they copied the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAQ7k__HOyI

Really more country pop but what the hey. Jump 'n' the Saddle Band short-lived as recorders and only known for a novelty song. AMG review: http://www.allmusic.com/album/jump-n-the-saddle-band-mw0000307695 Their Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jump_%27N_the_Saddle_Band
The tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f1A8TGcjDE << Too studied, too much deliberate artifice to be "camp".
