Can I ask you a favor one time? Amend you post to demo each singer in each group?
The tradition you mention was popular back when it was the group, not the individuals, that had the name. Not that each singer couldn't be ID'ed, but it was the group sound that was key. Not so much anymore--that tradition seems to have quelled after the Motown Factory moved to H'wood... Great question though...
