Salvaged from the indifferent - jazzboCR - 09-07-2015
I dislike the term "treasures from the trash"; that demeans all the other CDs I sifted through to find these. These are all "penny poppers" on the Usual Suspect.
Dennis Marcellino and Mark Stefani--An Evening to Remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czXHdtTHAxY and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjawcuFzKQE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU9YLb92aMo << These guys work so well together...
Doug Cameron--Different Hats: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr1JhB_R5uM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ofm--Lma8oA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqwTrupenSg << Classical and/or jazz lover, you'll be diggin' on this << New Age, yes, but not spacey--there's a solid melodic core to all of it
Charlie Peacock--Kingdom Come: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB4i0vbAZQM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejEVo-WwYVQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ2f0t0G0XU << That shy, breathy tenor can get vexing but it's delivering solid lyrics to solid songs--great playing behind him too.
more soon....

2 women singers, maybe unknown to you--certainly to me previous.:
Jann Arden Juno Award-winning. 11 CDs in 22 years--soulful folk-pop. Get in touch here: http://www.jannarden.com/ I came across this piece: Living Under June--a 4-star from '95. And some tunes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc_oPIO_FaM << As good as this song is (and you'll come back again to her songs), this is one outstanding vid--somebody cared enough to do their best.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nrGWwHalCU << Real guys can appreciate this too--again, a terrif vid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5_Hn_cLIvI << Lovely duet with Jackson Browne
Vanessa Daou Caution: her songs sometimes contain sexually explicit lyrics--I'll screen these presentings but out in the wild...crapshoot. This is what I stumbled on:
http://www.allmusic.com/album/dear-john-coltrane-mw0000249622 Some tunes not necessarily from this CD:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFus-sHrFQ << No, not that classic song

Thanks for the Jann Arden post Jazzy! I like her music and such a funny lady , great sense of humour during interviews and comedy show appearances! This song is one of my favourites!
