Jealousy will get you nowhere Keith...the same guy that said without The Beatles rock would be nowhere or something to that effect!

yeh I agree....

Keith Richards.....the man who rehashed the chords "satisfaction" a thousand times and called them new songs...., Christ, the guy isn't even that great at playing guitar IMO.

I totally acknowledge KR was/is a highly influential person on rock and roll, no doubt about that, and probably very few people would argue with that....
But on the flipside....you don't have to be great to be influential....just different....!
Classic example are Sex Pistols....
Those guys were very average musos, and John Lydon, well, he's not exactly the greatest vocalist ever, but for uniqueness they have influenced thousands of kids to form bands since 1976.

If you are a blast of fresh air, turning the dominant paradigm on its head or trashing it altogether, you haven't got to be a paramount player...because you are an artist. Such with The Sex Pistols. Exactly why they are being sampled/stolen from all these decades later: they were fresh then; they are fresh now...if only in bits and pieces for purely commercial purposes.
Hey, the guy fell out of a coconut tree in Fiji--Let's cut him some slack. And then there's this about him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNUNcERiPEU << Kind of smarmy if you ask me (not that you did....)
