In the beggining of this album processed vocals kick in. I'm very curious about what that kind of effect is called.
I'm pretty sure there's some harmonic effect going on there, but I don't think that's the whole of the sound.

I believe he's using a vocoder. You wouldn't believe what you can do with your voice using a vocoder. Maybe I hear a little bit of octaver too. I hate voice altering
