Overwhelmed by the groove - knobserve - 28-12-2015

Hi. Here is a track I made and I’m seeking your advice on it. Due to too much exposure to the track during the mixing, I have lost my sense of how it sounds, especially because there is a vocalized track, whose sounds sound like words after you listen to it a couple of times. It is actually human voice singing but chopped an rearranged to yield new melody and rhythm. There are practically no "words" or anything that sounds like one but the human feel of it and too much listening to it has weakened my objective understanding of it.

This has blinded me in regard to how the song, and particularly that very track, sounds like. I would love to hear how this sounds to any other human ears. Sorry for too many sounds!

Peace

The best policy when this happens is to walk away from the track for a few days and then come back to it later. You will have a new perspective on the piece.

I can't agree more. This case, however, is worsened by me adopting a lingual perception of it. That one track is being kind of articulated in my head. I don't think that would ever go away.
