Hello all. I am doing a music project with a group and we have to release an EP online. Within said group I am tasked with a digital online release. I have made a table of steps I need to take, when releasing the album online. What is your opinion on it? Could it work?

Record the album first. That's the starting point. Next, join CDBaby and all your distribution is done automatically. This 'plan' of yours is arse-about-face.

I admire what youre trying to achieve and I will always support new comers to the industry(rom a listeners point of view)
but please,
listen to Jerome's advice...he's been there, don't that and probably made more than a few mistakes along the way from which he has learnt and corrected.

And the hardest part of the process is marketing - something I have zero interest in, but which is the most crucial part of the process. After you have spent all those hours recording, mixing, mastering etc. you will find getting your material 'out there' is impossible without serious backing. Nevertheless, get the album done first, because without that you have nothing to market anyway! Good luck and don't give up!

Thank you so much for the support, Jerome!I am doing many things for the first time now, and I believe there is a long, hard road ahead, specially for the young, untried musician, I am. But I do love what I'm doing, and need to keep working at it and pick as many things, as I can, along the way!
