Brian Wilson autobiography... - CRAZY-HORSE - 12-04-2016 heres the link to the article if youre interested: http://www.nme.com/news/brian-wilson/92903 and what Brian says about his life: "Other people can talk about my life. Sometimes theyâll get it right and sometimes theyâll get it wrong. For me, when I think back across my own life, there are so many things that are painful. Sometimes I donât like discussing them. Sometimes I donât even like remembering them. But as I get older, the shape of that pain has changed. Sometimes memories come back to me when I least expect them." "Maybe thatâs the only way it works when youâve lived the life Iâve lived: starting a band with my brothers that was managed by my father, watching my father become difficult and then impossible, watching myself become difficult and then impossible, watching women I loved come and go, watching children come into the world, watching my brothers get older, watching them pass out of the world." with the life he has led, it should be an extremely interesting read IMO! Brian Wilson autobiography... - bob_32_116 - 05-05-2016 Also, if you have not already seen it, I totally recommend the movie "Love and Mercy". It's a very good dramatisation of Brian's career and problems from about 1967 to the 1980's, when his family basically had to rescue him from the clutches of his therapist, Eugene Landy. It would have been very easy to do a hatchet job on Mike Love, but neither he nor Dr Landy is presented as a total villain, it's quite a balanced account. The song "California Girls" is made to sound almost sinister and menacing, which is quite an achievement. |
