Deuter Music Is Healthy Medicine And Simply Makes You Feel Better - Eugena - 19-10-2016
New age musician Deuter has been recording albums since 1971, longer than just about anyone. He still utilizes many different instruments, both real and synthesized (he is especially adept at playing both flutes and cello). He still creates some of the best new age music around with all the elements that new age music lovers love -- soft-and-easy-going, lots of instrumentation, some melodic tunes and some a bit more ambient, rich in textures, great for relaxation and healing. All of that and more is available on his most recent record. It is titled Immortelle after a plant used for healing, and, in fact, all of the compositions also are named after folk medicine plants used for alternative healing (rather than prescription drugs). What Deuter seems to be saying with this album is that he believes there are alternatives to the licensed doctor profession, or that they are missing the boat by not recognizing natural medicines that helped people for thousands of years before we had synthesized medicines. Anyway, it is interesting to note that for many decades much of Deuterâs music has been used as a method of alternative healing, or at least for health betterment. So taking these new age prescriptions (natural plants and new age music) might be just what you need for what ails you. The music on this album is soothing and meditative and peaceful and also pretty. It may not make you immortal, but that might not be something worth wishing for anyway. Perhaps pop a couple of aloe vera capsules and some blue-green algae and put this music on, sit back and just feel better.
