I think we are both in agreement that when he sings his upbeat funky material he sounds like James Brown, when he does his ballads he sounds like MJ,
even moves with ease like MJ...
but have you noticed that in some shots he looks a lot like Little Richard, especially with that quiff????

I always liken him to Prince also
