TV Show Music - Music Head - 26-10-2009 Ever be watching some show on tv and the music in the background just bowls you over. Happens to me all the time. Recently found this site where you can find most of them. There may be others out there, but this one works for me for now. TV Show Music | Home | Music From TV Shows Most recently was an episode of Greys Anatomy. I'm not a big fan of these doctor shows but occasionally I will watch. Of course the scene the song is being played to has a lot of impact on your perspective. This was a death scene at the end of the show and the song was Out Of The Dark by Matt Hires who I had never heard of. Only 1 album, and haven't heaqrd anything else, but this song is great imo. Prefer youtube, but nothing worth viewing there. Again the track is Out Of The Dark at this link. Easier to get to than the tvshow link. Apparently the song's a bit of a meme at their school at the moment. I'm not a big fan of the show but it must include more songs as 'foreground' rather than 'background' than any other show I've seen. I quite like this. I liked the cast, but sometimes it was a little too slapstick for me. They did have some cool use of music. TV Show Music - Tiggi - 03-11-2009 I've just posted a Julee Cruise album on the Artist/Album Association thread, and... We're currently watching a wildlife series called Last Chance to See, presented by UK national treasure Stephen Fry. The episode we watched last night was mainly about Komodo Dragons, but there was extensive sub-aqua filming, and some Julee Cruise was used to excellent effect. TV Show Music - janie_jones - 06-11-2009 There is always the obvious foregrounded music, Scrubs like you mentioned is a great example. There are tons of originals (like the musical episode) and covers, my favourite being when Carla and Ted sing Poison - Talk Dirty to Me accapella! TV Show Music - warduria - 10-11-2009 Yes, I think the song in Scrub is pretty good. TV Show Music - Daniel Eboli - 11-11-2009 Yes I agree, many goog music in TV/cinema. Recently, in TV show Glee (sux by the way), I found the version of "Dont stop believing" from Peter Frampton (performed by Journey?) amazing. My prefered soundtrack ever is Star trek 1 (the movie) composed by Jerry Gosldsmith, a true genius of composing. RIP Jerry. :frown: TV Show Music - jwee5467 - 15-11-2009 One Tree Hill always seems to have good music through the seasons and now is in its 7th. Started off with Gavin DeGraw as the theme and became known as the first free-to-air show with Led Zepellin. it's great that they use music in the storyline as well as during the show a lot so u feel that you're part of it. it's even better cos im aussie and i find about these great unknown US bands. TV Show Music - ambernector - 15-11-2009 The new Battlestar Galactica had a catchy opening loop. I say loop because it was no more than that, but did the job well of setting the mood. TV Show Music - janie_jones - 20-11-2009 I agree regarding BSG, I think Bear McCready did a fantastic job scoring the show throughout the series. |
