NEW ALBUM: Mercury Rev "Bobbie Gentry's The Delta Sweetie Revisited" - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-02-2019 Spotify listen: Alt Rock  band's tenth studio set.. I guess theyre big fans of Ms Gentry with this covers set... they do enlist female vocalists to take on vocal duties including Lucinda Williams, Margo Price, Beth Orton and Marrisa Nadler to name a few... music and overall sound iis not country so these songs fail dismally and if the album lasted any longer I would have thrown myself off the Tallahatchie Bridge.. one of only three or four tracks I thought work well off the album:
