Mariah Carey's "all i want for Christmas" has finally hit the coverted #1 spot on the UK charts after----- years and 104 weeks combined on the chart.
seasonal/yuletide themed songs are an exremtely lucrative affair for the artists who record them.
as an example: Slade and Paul McCartney are rumoured to make around three quarters of a million dollars every year from their respective festive songs.
