Deezer listen:

his third venture outside of KISS...
his first that deviates away from guitar rock...
this time its the sound of Detroit soul...
fourteen tracks, eight or nine are old R&B/soul covers.
artists covered include: Miracles, Spinners, Five Stairsteps, Al Green, Delfonics, Stylistics and Four Tops...
the rest are originals that fit firmly in the same mold as the covers...
excellent REAL soul band and backing singers here...
Stanley sings in falsetto throughout, not dissimilar in tone to those by Smokey Robinson...
as a huge REAL soul/r+b fan i didnt really expect much from this album overall as im usually super critical of covers of the genre but...
i need not have worried, yes i could nit-picky things but overall it is isnt worth it as Stanley is totally respectful of what the original tracks were and always will be, he is also respectful enough to use musicians that understand the feel of the music and he is also respectful enough of the originals as to not change them.
not generally a fan of covers albums as a rule but this one is pretty faithful...
i wanna groove and soul all night, and party everyday.....

not picking a cover but one of Stanley's original compositions:
